My Campaign Platform

I have been involved in public service in one form or another for my entire adult life.  I am a fighter who is not afraid to stand up to the status quo.    I believe our district has lost our conservative voice and now is the time to take it back.   Let me standup for you at the statehouse.   Too often, our lawmakers do not listen to anyone in the western part of the state.

  • Education needs to change in Massachusetts and focus on student outcomes.   For decades students graduated from local schools have had to remedial classes to enter community colleges because they were not ready.   75% of students don't even go to college and yet local districts have abandoned all vocational education to regional technical high schools with limited seats.   We will need to find a way to give more kids access to vocational education so they have pathways to prosperity without taking on crushing student dept.
  • Fund the police.  We need more money, not less, for law enforcement.  The world of policing is rapidly changing and the state needs to adequately fund ongoing training for local police departments that don't have their own resources.   No one wants to be put on hold when they call 911 and no one wants the police officer who responds to not know how to do his or her job.  If we want to hold police to a higher standard, we need to give them the resources to meet that standard.  This is not a left or right issue, this is how do we get it done issue.
